Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Fusion Energy Base is hiring a full-stack software engineer on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have experience with the software technologies listed below or a willingness to learn quickly. Familiarity and interest in the physics of fusion and the fusion energy ecosystem is a big plus.

Technologies Used

The following technologies are part of our software stack:

• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Python/Django
• PostgreSQL
• Linux
• AWS

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Building upon an existing Django project to add new functionality
• Improving interfaces for updating and adding new content
• Maintaining and improving the AWS deployment infrastructure
• Working with a UI/UX designer to implement new designs

Other Details

This is a full-time, remote contract position with a 3-month duration, offering the possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time role. We are open to a hybrid in-person and remote arrangement in major tech hubs like New York or San Francisco. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

This contract role is a chance to work closely with our small team and see if it’s a good fit. If things go well, there’s potential to transition to a full-time position.
