Overview of Responsibilities
The salary for this role is £32,903 + excellent benefits including outstanding pension Onsite working is expected for 5 days a week during the probationary period.
This role is based in Culham , Oxfordshire
This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open-source data.
The Role
We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Group Coordinator to join our Electrical Engineering Unit, providing vital operational and coordination support within a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting senior leaders and engineering teams across a broad range of activities, including but not limited to workforce planning, resource allocation, recruitment activity, and key operational processes. Key Responsibilities:
As Group Coordinator, you’ll be at the centre of day-to-day operations, supporting Group Leaders and ensuring teams have the information, resources and coordination they need to succeed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating workforce planning activities, supporting resource requests and staffing updates
- Monitoring resource allocation across teams to ensure alignment with project demand and budgets
- Supporting recruitment and succession planning activities across the Group
- Managing diaries, scheduling meetings, and coordinating team activities
- Preparing agendas, presentations, reports, dashboards and meeting packs
- Taking minutes, tracking actions, and following up to ensure progress is maintained
- Maintaining and improving document management systems, including SharePoint and internal databases
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and streamline operations
- Acting as a key point of coordination between technical teams, leadership and support functions
Qualifications
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in coordination, operations support, project support or administration
- Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, SharePoint and Planner
- Experience working with data, reporting, or dashboards
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and implement improvements
- The confidence to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
Desirable Experience
- Experience supporting technical, engineering or project-based teams
- Exposure to workforce planning, resource coordination or PMO environments
- Experience with business systems and process improvement initiatives
