Why This Role Matters
As an Inventory Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering and delivery teams in maintaining timeliness on component availability as well as logistics of components being sent between suppliers and within our own facilities. You will spend approximately 25% of your time supporting the electromechanical build technicians as a secondary priority. Your technical skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach are fundamental to our success.
What You'll Do
- Receive deliveries and control inventory of equipment and manufacturing supplies.
- Support the engineering team during the design, development, and testing phases of the fusion system.
- Help troubleshoot, repair, and optimize equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (including electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers) to ensure systems integration and effectiveness.
- Draft and finalize SOPs, safety procedures, and other related documentation.
- Maintain the manufacturing environment via 5S principles, ensuring that all tools, equipment, and workspaces are clean, safe, and organized.
- Comply with all applicable safety and regulatory requirements, including ISO, state, and federal regulations, as well as those specific to the company.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, subassemblies, and finished goods.
- Partner with procurement to ensure timely receipt and labeling of incoming materials.
- Communicate shortages, excesses, and risks proactively to Supply Chain.
- Receive inbound parts, reconcile part numbers and quantities with purchase orders and assign them a location in the inventory system.
What You Bring
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a technician in a hands-on setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols.
- Extensive experience driving a forklift and using hand power tools.
- Strong communication skills and experience with in person and remote communication with other technicians and engineers.
- Understanding of part numbering systems, BOMs, and revision control.
- Proven ability to create and maintain processes in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Bonus Points For
- Familiarity with CAD software and technical drawings for viewing and interpreting design schematics is a plus.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Coupa, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
