Your Role
This Project Manager will support the development, integration, and operations of our science efforts including experimental projects related to our Omega, Phelix, ELI, and simulation modeling efforts, helping translate technical objectives into executable plans and ensuring delivery across multidisciplinary teams.
You will act as a central point of coordination between our Science team, engineering partners, facilities, and the company PMO, bringing structure, visibility, and momentum to complex technical work.
This role is ideal for someone with project management experience who is comfortable in labs, hardware environments, or R&D settings, and who wants to deepen their technical and program execution skills over time.
What you’ll do:
- Plan and track projects, translating technical goals into clear tasks, schedules, and milestones
- Maintain project plans, schedules, and workflows in Jira, and Confluence
- Track progress and follow up with engineers and technical leads on deliverables
- Coordinate meetings, reviews, and planning sessions; document decisions and action items
- Produce clear status updates, dashboards, and reports for division and PMO stakeholders
- Support risk, issue, and change tracking across hardware, lab, and facility-related work
- Coordinate across teams including Science & Technology, Facilities, and external partners
- Coordinate with company-wide PM efforts to ensure compliance with company-wide standards
Who you are:
- Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Data Science, or a related technical field
- Depth of experience in R&D related project management and coordination
- Familiarity with Jira, and Confluence, or similar tools/technology
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams
- Clear communicator who follows through and keeps teams aligned
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
Nice to have’s:
- Background in physics, optics, experimental science, or hardware development
- Exposure to lab infrastructure
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project management methods
- Comfortable working in hardware, lab, or R&D environments
