Why This Role Matters
The Master Scheduler will play a critical role in linking, coordinating, planning and communicating the schedule of our R&D, engineering, procurement and manufacturing programs by creating and managing integrated master schedules. You will work closely with managers, engineering leads, and delivery teams to ensure alignment across all project timelines, identify risks and bottlenecks, and maintain visibility into critical path activities. Your work will directly support the timely and efficient scheduling of our next-generation fusion energy system by 2030.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain integrated master schedules across multi-phase prototype, procurement, assembly and integration efforts
- Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, testing) to ensure realistic and achievable timelines
- Monitor and report progress against schedules, highlighting delays and mitigation options, resource constraints, and schedule risks
- Lead schedule reviews and facilitate coordination meetings with internal stakeholders
- Provide scenario planning and “what-if” analysis to support strategic decisions and risk mitigation
- Ensure consistency in scheduling standards, tools, and best practices across programs.
- Interface with software tools such as MS Project, Linear and MES/ERP to maintain project schedules and resource forecasts
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in project scheduling or program controls, preferably in advanced technology, aerospace, energy, or manufacturing environments
- Proven experience developing and managing integrated master schedules for complex, multi-disciplinary projects
- Strong understanding of scheduling techniques (CPM, PERT), critical path analysis, and resource leveling
- Proficiency in scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Bonus Points For
- PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent project management certification
- Experience scheduling first-of-a-kind systems and projects
- Experience working in industries such as: fusion, energy, aerospace, chemicals
- Experience working closely with PhD scientists, R&D technology and manufacturing organizations
