Instrumentation engineer Job summary We are recruiting individuals who will be committed to R&D, designing, safety designing (including sequence and safety interlocks) of instrumentation used for nuclear fusion plants in the technology development division.
We believe that early realization of nuclear fusion will contribute to decarbonization. We will build a strong presence in the experimental nuclear fusion reactor market, aiming to establish the nuclear fusion as a dominant industry in Japan.
Our business is being rapidly expanded. We have already received orders for large-scale projects from start-ups and government-affiliated research institution aiming to build the experimental nuclear fusion reactors. We are seeking dedicated individuals who will be involved in our future R&D and business operations which are key to growth. Job descriptions You will be engaged in technical development of the main nuclear fusion reactor systems such as the blanket system, the diverter system, and the tritium management system, technical adjustment and commercialization with customers or vendors.
Business trip abroad may be required to adjust technical specifications with overseas customers and vendors, and respond to overseas installation and test (mainly Europe and America) Presentation at an academic conference if necessary The scope of your job responsibilities will be coordinated according to your experience and skill. Target person (necessary requirement) ・Graduated and completed from a 4-year university or graduate school in mechanical, material, chemical, nuclear, electrical, or electronic field

・Experience of working overseas, dealing with people from foreign vendors for several years
・Experience of using ”industrial analysis tools (such as ASPEN, HTRI, ANSYS, AVEVA, and CREO)
・Knowledge related to nuclear power (radiation)
・Possession of following qualifications: radiation-protection supervisor, certified hazardous material handling supervisor, high pressure gas handling supervisor, Qualified Person for Energy Management, boiler expert, Chief Electrical Engineer, and pollution control manager
・Experience in design of instrumentation in plant engineering or modification and maintenance of instrumentation in a manufacturer(electric power/petroleum refinery/chemical/health care) Work location Tokyo Headquarters(Heiwajima Office), Kyoto Research Center, and overseas subsidiaries in UK, US and EU (Germany).
Note: Relocation may be required domestically or internationally.
Remote work negotiable if residing within commuting distance. Working hours 9 AM to 6 PM (including 1 hour break)
