Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (CCFE)
Description
The Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (CCFE) is the UK's national laboratory for fusion research. CCFE is based at Culham Science Centre in Oxfordshire, and is owned and operated by the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority. CCFE houses two major fusion experiment facilities, JET (Joint European Torus) and MAST (Mega Amp Spherical Tokamak), focused on preparing the ground for the commercial use of fusion as a way to generate cleaner energy.
