Divertor

The divertor is a component of large MFE (Magnetic Fusion Energy) experiments which remove heat and helium ash from the plasma. Divertors are typically made of tungsten or carbon or other materials that have a high melting temperature. Currently, there are three main divertor technologies under development. These are SUPER-X exhaust, Snowflake and liquid-metal.
