Why This Role Matters
As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern on the Delivery team you will work alongside our manufacturing engineering and production teams to help build the first power generation component samples for our fusion system.
What You'll Do
- Aid in implementation of Manufacturing Execution Software (MES)
- Work alongside the build technicians and manufacturing engineers to create, edit, and release work instructions to build the product
- Be responsible for capturing redlines suggested by the technicians and conducting recurring meetings to determine what to add to the work instructions
- Aid manufacturing engineers in tooling design and fabrication
- Data collection, consolidation, and reduction to show trends with recommended actions to take based on the trends
What You Bring
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering, or a related field
- Willingness to build with the technicians and engineers to thoroughly understand the build process
- Attentive listening to collect every detail possible during the creation of the work instructions
- Ability to think on your feet and provide quick solutions as problems arise
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Additional Requirements:
- Able to work full time, onsite for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning in Mid May- Mid June 2026
Bonus Points For
- 6+ months of a previous internship, co-op, or academic project experience outside of normal classes
- GPA of 3.5 or above
- Basic experience with CAD Software, MATLAB, Python, or Excel
- Basic experience with machining equipment, hand tools, power tools, and air tools
- Exposure to MES and MRP systems, specifically knowledge of how they are used to increase efficiency of production
