  • Support Facility Responsible Officers with engineering projects, planned maintenance, corrective work and the introduction of new equipment.
  • Contribute to the design, construction, installation and commissioning of waste processing equipment and systems.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, risk assessments, method statements and reports in accordance with established procedures and safe systems of work.
  • Provide technical advice within your area of expertise, supporting engineering activities and liaising with internal and external contacts.
  • Allocate tasks and provide technical direction to contracted operatives and apprentices, ensuring work meets required safety and quality standards.
  • Support facility planning, resource coordination, emergency and on-call arrangements, and the wider development of technical capability within Waste Services.

What You’ll Bring

  • An HNC in Engineering or an equivalent qualification, or significant relevant technical and operational experience in a similar role.
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification or an equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience working in a radioactive environment, including knowledge of contamination control and relevant processes.
