Welcome to the first-ever Fusion Energy Base newsletter!

It’s been a long time coming, and we’re excited to share updates as we continue our mission to open up information about what’s happening in fusion.

What you’ll find on Fusion Energy Base

Fusion Energy Base helps you understand:

  • Who is working on what (and with whom)
  • Where to plug into the field
  • What is happening across the fusion ecosystem

Our site includes:

  • Listings of fusion machine developers
  • Information about their funders and projects
  • Listings of research organizations and their projects
  • A fusion supply chain directory
  • A fusion jobs board
  • Articles about various fusion topics

Our goal with this newsletter is to share updates on Fusion Energy Base’s features, highlight recent articles, and spotlight our affiliate members (learn more about the affiliate program below).

New Features

  • Claim Your Organization: Representatives can now claim and manage their organization’s page by clicking “Claim This Organization to Edit” on the right side of any organization’s page. Once verified, you can update details, projects, and if you’re a supply chain company, add yourself to the supply chain directory with relevant product categories.
  • Claim Your Projects: You can also claim individual projects by clicking “Claim This Project to Edit.” After verification, you’ll be able to add descriptions, update status, and include images or links to publications.
  • Affiliate Program: Our new paid Affiliate Program lets organizations highlight their supply chain listings and job posts. Affiliate support allows us to keep all information on Fusion Energy Base free.

Affiliate Spotlight: Morton Labs

  • Morton Labs: Morton Labs, a Fusion Energy Base affiliate, is a new computational science company founded out of the University of Chicago. The company specializes in multi-physics simulation, digital-twin modeling, and AI integration specifically for fusion energy systems. Operating at the intersection of artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and fusion science, Morton Labs aims to become the central interoperability layer connecting research codes and simulation tools across national laboratories, universities, and private fusion ventures.
  • For a deeper look at Morton Labs, explore our sponsored Affiliate Interview Series, where we go into their work and vision in more detail.
