Hephaestus

Hephaestus develops high-temperature superconducting magnets and negative-triangularity tokamaks for fusion energy. It is developing Supernova, a rare-earth-free superconducting conductor, and plans to combine its magnets with negative-triangularity plasma physics in its Anvil C commercial power plant design. Its lab-scale Anvil 0 tokamak was completed in 2024.
