Pranos Fusion

Founded in 2024 and based in Bengaluru - India, Pranos Fusion is an Indian deep-tech company developing low aspect ratio tokamak technology while establishing India's supply chain in fusion-critical verticals of high-temperature superconducting magnets, MAGGA and integrated tokamak digital twin platform, JENGA. Currently, these technologies are being integrated onto India's first privately developed in-house tokamak, PRAGYA, which is targeting the first plasma milestone in 2026.

The company is co-incubated at the Institute of Plasma Research (IPR) and at the Innovation and Development Centre, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) collaborating closely with the Indian Institute of Science. Pranos builds on their expertise in plasma physics while drawing on India's existing academic and commercial tokamak base. Pranos' plasma control systems are being developed with collaborations to explore deployment at India's operational tokamaks at IPR.
