Isolated Sensor Transmitter

Description

The Knick P32000 is a versatile, safety-rated universal transmitter capable of accepting inputs from thermocouples, resistance thermometers, strain gauges, potentiometers, and shunt voltages — making it exceptionally well-suited for the diverse and demanding sensor arrays found throughout nuclear fusion facilities, from plasma diagnostics to structural load monitoring. Its TÜV-certified functional safety rating of SIL 2 (and SIL 3 in redundant configurations) meets the rigorous safety integrity requirements of fusion systems where sensor failures could have critical consequences for personnel and equipment. Three-port galvanic isolation with protective separation up to 300 V AC/DC ensures clean, interference-free signal transmission even in the intense electromagnetic environments generated by fusion plasma and superconducting magnet systems. The ultra-compact 6 mm housing allow for high-density installation and easy commissioning in control cabinets where space and access are limited — a practical advantage in the complex infrastructure of a fusion energy facility.
