GEKKO XII is a laser facility at the Institute of Laser Engineering, The University of Osaka, in Suita, Osaka, used for laser fusion research. It has two plasma-generation vacuum chambers for experimental studies. Its twelve laser beams can irradiate a target with spherical symmetry or be combined to irradiate it from a single direction.
