UNITY-2

UNITY-2 will be a radiological fuel cycle test facility. The project is a joint venture between Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) and Kyoto Fusioneering (KF) and will be established in an existing tritium-licensed building at Chalk River Laboratories (CRL) in Ontario, Canada. UNITY-2 will also act as a user facility for the broader fusion community and aims to be able to handle and process tritium for testing. Full-scale operation is expected to begin in 2026.
