The goal of the strategic communications team at Helixos is to work with our clients to bring their ideas to life. We know that new nuclear technologies won’t be successful without the right communications approaches. We work with our clients to design communications and marketing strategies to help reach their goals and then create content that translates these complex technologies into something people can understand and get excited about. The Role In this role, you would work closely with nuclear energy and fusion pioneers to lead and deliver strategic communications engagements end to end, from shaping project scope through to developing and delivering clear, compelling narratives. You would collaborate closely with consultants across the Helixos team to support commercialization, stakeholder engagement, and technical advisory work, helping clients communicate complex ideas with clarity, credibility, and impact. What this role typically involves Delivering strategic communications advisory services to clients across multiple countries and industries, including startups, technology developers, governments, and research organizations Creating high quality content and storytelling to engage diverse audiences across channels such as websites, social media, presentations, brochures, articles, and video Developing strategic communications and stakeholder engagement plans for interactions with customers, policymakers, community members, investors, regulators, influencers, and the wider public Providing branding and communications insight to clients, while staying abreast of innovative approaches for communicating complex topics Identifying and engaging potential partners, customers, and stakeholders on behalf of clients Managing branding, marketing, and communications activity for Helixos, including content creation for the website, blog, social media, and podcast Engaging external stakeholders on Helixos’ services and identifying opportunities for collaboration Requirements Demonstrated experience developing and delivering communications and marketing strategies in the nuclear energy and/or fusion sector, and preferably within the USA Developing engaging and interesting content and campaigns in a variety of formats, including articles, web copy, and short videos Strong written and visual communication skills, including writing, editing, and graphic design capability Experience of, or strong familiarity with, consulting environments A passion for nuclear energy and fusion technologies and their role in sustainable development The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible content An international outlook with motivation to contribute to globally impactful work A strategic mindset, able to balance detail with big picture thinking Comfort working autonomously in a remote setting High levels of ownership, accountability, and self direction The ability to thrive in fast paced environments, manage ambiguity, and deliver high quality work to tight deadlines Benefits We do not just deliver reports, we partner for impact.
