POSITION SUMMARY

Opto-Mechanical technicians are responsible for the operation, maintenance, repairs and upgrades to lasers, diagnostics, and amplifiers as well as the support systems including water/glycol cooling systems, nitrogen delivery systems, and vacuum systems. Technicians are expected to understand these systems well and have mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair. Technicians are expected to continuously learn about the technical details related to the systems at LLE and take on maintenance responsibilities for specific subsystems and participate in modifications of systems.

PAY RANGE: $27.16 – $38.03 Hourly

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates are set within the job’s compensation range, and determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
