Cryomagnetics is a 43 year old company that manufactures superconducting magnet systems for a variety of applications, including fusion.
Our role in fusion concerns the Electron Cyclotron Resonance Heating (ECRH) component. Our superconducting magnets are paired with gyrotrons from a variety of manufacturers to heat the plasma used in the Tokamak or Stellarator. We have installations worldwide Max Planck Institute of Plasma Physics, W7X Stellarator, General Atomics DIII-D Tokamak, ITER, DTT, and many others.
