WHAM (the Wisconsin HTS Axisymmetric Mirror) is a fusion experiment which utilizes high-temperature superconductor (HTS) coils in a magnetic mirror configuration. Its HTS magnets generate a magnetic field of 17 tesla, the highest magnetic field of any steady-state fusion energy experiment to date.
